Thanks for stopping by! I’m Hayley Johnson—owner of Hayley Jo Photo. I realized my love for photography in 2010 on a trip to Zambia. I knew it was going to be the trip of a lifetime so I broke down and bought a nice camera.
I took a ridiculous number of photos on that trip and fell in love with the art of photography. In 2013, after continuing to take classes and offering photo sessions to anyone willing to give me a chance, Hayley Jo Photo became a reality.
Today, I'm honored to have worked with over 250 families and captured nearly 100 newborn babies behind the lens. My style aims to document client's personalities in naturally lit photos that are clean, classic, and fun. To me, the beauty is in variety, client individuality, and capturing honest, candid emotion.
As a mother myself, I understand working with infants and children requires patience, so I will never rush your session and will always try to keep things lighthearted and relaxed.
I'd like to thank my daughters, Emery and Cameron, for enduring multiple photo shoots as I learn new tricks, my husband, Kramer, for encouraging me to pursue my dream, and my God for empowering me to capture the beautiful things in life through photography.
Emily is our rockstar Studio Manager. Her photography interest began when she started shooting film with her husband to document their first years together. Those photos, tucked in their special box, are amongst her most valued possessions. In Emily's words, "seeing a photo reminds me a moment existed and just how wonderful, funny, pivotal or beautiful it was."
Emily wears many hats in the business, but if you choose to capture you milestone moments with us, she'll be the one selecting your gallery images and bringing them to life. She'd love to be a part of preserving memories for your family as you experience the sweetness of new life and raising littles.
One of my great joys as a business owner is the chance to give back to others and pursue projects that are inspiring to me personally. One expression of that is gifting lifestyle photography to adoptive families and sharing their amazing stories on the blog. Check it out and be inspired.
Hayley is a member of the National Association of Professional Child Photographers and Clickin Moms, and her work has been featured in Pottery Barn Kids, TheBump, and Beauty & Lifestyle Mommy Magazine.
